Day 1 : Arrival Mumbai
Meeting assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel of your choice which will be provided by us. Check in at hotel and relax for the evening. Overnight stay at Mumbai.
Day 2 Mumbai – Cochin
The next day after having your breakfast in the hotel proceed for an exciting excursion of Mumbai. Having planned that do visit the world renowned Elephanta caves. Also take a city tour covering the Gateway of India, Jain Temple at Malabar Hill and other nearby attractive places. You can also do some shopping if you like so. Later you will be transferred to the airport to board flight for Cochin. Once you reach Cochin transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Cochin.
Day 3 : Cochin
Cochin is the oldest European settlement in India. Cochin is popularly known as the queen of the Arabian Sea. A visit to Cochin is going to be the best part of your tour to Kerala. The following morning in Cochin is going to be very exciting for you. Do pay a visit to the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue (Closed on every Friday), the Church of St. Francis, the Bolghatty Palace and see the famous Chinese fishing nets. Keep the noon time for a harbor cruise. Cochin has one of the finest natural harbors, so you should not miss this experience. In the evening keep time for a Kathakali dance performance. Kerala is famous for “Kathakali” Form of Dance. It has got a 2000 year old history. After spending the whole day in this rich land return to your hotel. Overnight stay at Cochin.
Day 4 : Cochin – Kumarakom (77 kms & 2 hours drive)
In the morning, drive to Kumarakom and check into the hotel. Spend the rest of the day in some leisure related activities. You can visit the villages over here, see the bird sanctuary and even relish a country boat cruise. Do not afford to miss an Ayurvedic Massage in the hotel or anywhere else in the city. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.
Day 5 : Kumarakom
The fifth day should also be kept for Kumarakom. Visit some of the places that you have missed earlier. You can spend the morning at leisure and in the afternoon, board on a houseboat. Plan for a cruise ride through the fascinating scenic backwaters towards Alleppey. Here, you are bound to enjoy the limitless stretch of water. If you belong to the adventurous lot, you can even spend the whole night in your houseboat (Optional). Overnight at Kumarakom
Day 6 : Kumarakom – Periyar (120 kms & 3 hours drive)
Visiting Periyar is an important part of a travel to Kerala. Periyar is nestled in the midst of mist capped mountains. When you arrive first check in to hotel and relax for a while. Overnight stay at Periyar.
Day 7 : Periyar
The 7th day of the tour to Kerala must be planned in such a way so that you do not miss the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. This sanctuary is one of the 16 Project Tiger reserves in India. It is famous for its elephant population which is around 800. A boat safari on the Periyar Lake is a wonderful experience. This will provide you an opportunity to spot exotic wildlife in their natural habitat. Overnight stay at Periyar.
Day 8 : Periyar – Cochin (160 kms & 4 hours drive)
The next morning you have to drive back to Cochin and check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day in whatever way you like. You can do some shopping if you like. Come to your hotel at night and pamper yourself in the comfort. Overnight at Cochin.
Day 9 : Cochin – Mumbai & Departure
Take the morning flight to Mumbai. Spend the day experiencing the other delights of Mumbai. See some of the places of interest in the city of dreams. Later transfer to the International Airport for taking a flight for your respective destination.
